Endowment: Ensuring a Sustainable NRWA

For over fifty years the Nashua River Watershed Association's supporters have played an essential role in helping to protect land and water, and also in providing opportunity for environmental education. How can today's donors be sure the programs and protection efforts they value continue in the future?

Endowments are critical to the sustainability of non-profit organizations. A substantial endowment enables an organization to plan on a steady stream of annual income for on-going work. Donations made to an endowment are permanently restricted; only their earnings can be distributed for the organization's use.  Donors to endowment know that their funds are helping the organization in perpetuity.

The Nashua River Watershed Association has established an endowment fund for the Association at three of the community foundations that service our watershed communities: the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, the Greater Lowell Community Foundation, and the New Hampshire Charitable Trust.

We welcome donations to our endowment funds. For more information, contact Jennifer L. Keegan, NRWA Executive Director, at (978) 448-0299, or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
